The following day, he posted: “the date…”, prompting fans to wonder if this was a subtle hint about the film’s release date.

SRK’s King To Release THIS Christmas

According to Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan’s King is set for a Christmas 2026 release, specifically on December 25. The decision comes after careful consideration of the release schedule, particularly in relation to Ramayana Part 1. A source close to the project revealed, “The duo of SRK and Sid were brainstorming several options for their release. And the two in the forefront were December 4 and December 25. After weighing all options, they have locked a Christmas 2026 release for their action-packed entertainer.”

The report also mentioned that there will be a healthy 45-day gap between the releases of Ramayana and King. This will allow both films the space to perform without overshadowing each other.

About King

King was officially announced on Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, November 2nd. The title reveal teaser showcased SRK in a striking new look, with silver hair and ear accessories. This left fans intrigued about his character. Soon after the announcement, Khan attended a fan meet in Mumbai, where he shared some insights into his role. He described his character as very dark. SRK revealed that the script had been thoughtfully crafted by Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh.
