Kiran Rao is keen on watching Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, compliments Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his ‘craft’

Kiran Rao, who is currently receiving much love for her latest film Laapataa Ladies, has expressed interest in watching Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. Despite previous misunderstandings between Kiran and the film’s director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, due to alleged statements made in their interviews, Kiran reveales she wants to the action-drama.

For the unversed, the RK, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor co-starrer has been part of several heated discussions even before its theatrical release. From the audiences loving it and watching it multiple in theatres to people calling out the makers for its story and characters, the film continues to be in the headlines months after its release.  

During her recent interaction with The Lallantop, Kiran Rao expressed interest in watching the Ranbir Khan starrer Animal. She said, “Laapataa Ladies has gotten so much love, I am grateful. Even the critics have liked it. When the audience likes a film, it’s often not necessary the critics will. The audience likes action-packed, VFX-heavy films these days. Films like Animal. I want to watch the film, it’s necessary.”

She continued, “It has done so well because people have loved it. Aur maine suna hai unka craft bahut hi accha hai, Sandeep Reddy Vanga ka craft. Aur Ranbir toh hai hi acche actor. (And I have heard that Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s craft is very good. And Ranbir Kapoor is a great actor.) It will be an interesting watch for me, people seem to love it.”

Aside from Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, Animal also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. Released on December 1, the film grossed around 900 crores at the global box office
