In a candid conversation, Kriti revealed details about Cocktail 2, describing it as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit. She shared that the project came into her life at the perfect moment, as she was craving a different kind of role.

During an interview with Zoom, Kriti expressed her enthusiasm for Cocktail 2, saying, “It’s so lovely. Sometimes, things happen in your life for a reason. Tere Ishk Mein was intense, emotionally draining, and heavy. I realised I couldn’t jump into another such film immediately; I needed a break. I wanted to do something fun, refreshing, and different—something I genuinely enjoy.”

She added, “Cocktail 2 just happened at the right time. I was craving a young, urban, fun romantic comedy. We’ve shot nearly two major schedules so far, and we’re about to begin another one in Mumbai. The film has fantastic music, and I think I look very different from my previous roles. It explores modern relationship dynamics and is very relevant to what it speaks about.”

Cocktail 2 is the spiritual successor to the 2012 hit Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. The upcoming film marks Shahid and Kriti’s reunion after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and will be Rashmika’s first collaboration with both actors. The film’s release date is yet to be announced, but makers are aiming for a late 2026 release.
