Kriti Sanon Finally CONFIRMS Don 3; Replaces New Mom Kiara Advani Opposite Ranveer Singh

Actress Kriti Sanon has been confirmed as the lead actress in Don 3! After weeks of speculation, Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has confirmed that Kriti will star opposite Ranveer Singh in the upcoming action thriller. Farhan will also return as the director, continuing his legacy after Don and Don 2, which starred Shah Rukh Khan.

Kriti Sanon Replaces Kiara Advani In Don 3

According to Excel Entertainment, Don 3 is set to begin filming in January 2026. The team is still finalising the full cast, and they’re currently in talks with a top actor for the villain’s role.

Initially, Kiara Advani was cast alongside Ranveer Singh. However, during her pregnancy, Kiara decided to step away from the project. Reports suggest she wanted to focus on her personal life. Kriti Sanon, who was often seen at the Excel office, was rumoured to be the new lead, and those rumours are now confirmed. Adding fuel to the speculation earlier, Kriti had also wished Ranveer Singh a happy birthday on Instagram, hinting that she was excited to work with him.

Just days before the official announcement, Kiara and her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on July 15, 2025, at Reliance Hospital in Mumbai.

While Kriti and Ranveer will be sharing the screen for the first time, fans are eager to see who will play the main villain. Although names like Vikrant Massey and Vijay Deverakonda were reportedly considered, both actors declined due to concerns over the role’s depth.

As anticipation builds, there’s also buzz about possible cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra but those rumours remain unconfirmed.
