The entire country along with the film industry was mourning the death of the legendary actor Dilip Kumar who had passed away on July 7 due to a prolonged illness. He was buried with full state honour at Juhu Qabrastan in Santacruz Mumbai. The entire film fraternity visited Saira Banu’s residence to offer their condolences. Nevertheless, after Dilip Kumar’s demise, Saira Banu used to handle his Twitter account where he used to keep his fans posted about his health and whereabouts. Unfortunately, that will be stopped now as the Padosan actor has decided to deactivate the account.

Faisal Farooqui, their trusted aid, took to the Twitter account and announced that with Banu’s consent, he is closing the actor’s micro-blogging site. “After much discussion and deliberation and with the consent of Saira Banu ji, I hv decided to close this Twitter account of beloved Dilip Kumar Saab. Thank you for your continuous love and support,” the tweet read.

In an interview with ETimes, Saira Banu had opened up about taking care of her husband. She said, “It is out of love and not duress that I look after Dilip saab. I am not looking for praises to be called a devoted wife. Just to touch him and cuddle him is the world’s best thing that’s happening to me. I adore him and he is my breath itself.
