Liger: Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer’s teaser release postponed for THIS reason

Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda is celebrating his 32nd birthday today. As a treat to his fans, the makers of Vijay’s upcoming film Liger had planned to release the film’s teaser today. However, owing to the Covid crisis and the testing times everyone’s facing currently, makers of Liger have decided to postpone the teaser release.

Produced by Karan Johar and helmed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is a romantic sports action film starring Vijay and Ananya Panday in the lead role. The film which was supposed to release in September this year will likely be pushed further.

Confirming that Liger’s teaser won’t be releasing today, Dharma Productions released a statement that read, “During these testing times, we hope you all are staying indoors and taking care of yourself and your loved ones. We were all geared up to reveal a power-packed teaser of Liger on 9th May. However, due to the current scenario and environment that our country is facing, we have decided to postpone the same in the hope to share it with the world at a better time for us all. We are all in this together. See you soon at the theatres when we’re healthy and strong as a country.”

Apart from Vijay and Ananya, Liger also features Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, Vishu Reddy, Makarand Deshpande. Charmme Kaur is co-producing the film. Liger is a pan India film shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. The film marks Vijay’s debut in Bollywood and Ananya’s debut down south.
