National Award-winning makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad passed away in Mumbai on Saturday at the age of 65. Many actors, including Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, and Mrunal Thakur, expressed their condolences through social media.

His funeral took place the same day at 4:30 PM at Shivaji Park Crematorium in Dadar, Mumbai. It was attended by his family, friends, and members of the film industry, who came to pay their respects.
Aamir took to Instagram and wrote, “It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to the legendary makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad. I had the pleasure of working with him in films like Dangal, PK and Rang De Basanti, to name a few. He was a true master of his craft, and his work transformed many actors into unforgettable characters that will live forever on screen.”
He concluded, “Heartfelt condolences to the family from me, and everyone at AKP (folded hands emoji). We will miss you Dada (red heart emoji).”
Ranveer wrote, “Dada (dove, nazar amulet, infinity symbol, folded hands and breaking heart emojis).“

Vikram Gaikwad had a remarkable career that began with the film Sardar. Over the years, he worked on some of the biggest Hindi films like 83, Uri: The Surgical Strike, 3 Idiots, Omkara, Delhi-6, Kaminey, Sanju, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
