Taking to his Twitter handle, trade analyst Taran Adarsh made the announcement that the film will be screened today. Here’s his tweet.

Managing Director and CEO of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, Punit Goenka said in a statement, “We are extremely honoured, glad and proud that the President will be watching this film before its theatrical release. I congratulate team ZEE Studios for getting this opportunity and I wish them all the success.”

Meanwhile,  ‘Manikarnika’ has landed itself into a controversy. Karni Sena issued a letter to the makers of the film saying that the makers have shown Rani Laxmibai’s relationship with a British officer in the film. Sukhdev Singh Shekhavat, who is the head of Karni Sena told Mid-Day, “Time and again, we have seen that filmmakers try to take liberties by showing certain scenes [with the purpose of] adding titillation. We won’t tolerate such nonsense.”

We want the movie to get a smooth release.
