Manjari Fadnis Alleges Society Dog Mikey Was Hit With Rod
In the video, she said Mikey had been abandoned by his family and had been a part of their society since 2019 or 2020. An animal lover, Fadnis explained that Mikey had gone missing, and residents had been trying to find him. They made posters, distributed them across the area, and spoke with security guards and others to gather information about his whereabouts.
Sharing details, she said, “I wish I never needed to make this video, but I think it’s really important.” She described Mikey as “a really sweet dog” and added that residents had been searching tirelessly for him. Fadnis then revealed that someone from the society had confessed that Mikey was sleeping near one of the basement areas when he was hit on the head with a stick or iron rod.
“He got very disoriented. They dragged him into the staircase area between B1 and Lobby, and they hit him more so that he was bleeding from his mouth. He pooed, peed, and dirtied the place. He was half-dead, and they just put him inside a goni, and they threw him off into an empty area behind,” she recounted.
Manjari Elaborates On What Happened?
Fadnis expressed uncertainty about Mikey’s survival and shared that they were trying to locate his body. She condemned the criminal minds behind such acts, stating that some felt safe taking illegal routes to eliminate harmless community dogs. Remembering Mikey, she said he was a long-haired dog they often took home, bathed, groomed, and detangled. She described him as “such a happy boy” who would run around their house after his bath. Ending her message, she said, “He’s gone.”
Alongside the video, Fadnis wrote, “Our Mikey was Brutally Murdered & we are going to fight for him. This should never happen with ANY Dog Ever again in any Society anywhere! People should be SCARED to hurt an animal! We NEED Stronger laws against Animal Cruelty (sic)!”
She also thanked Xavier Bernard Santiago, Sanket Kadam, and others in her society who stood with them in their fight for justice for Mikey. On the work front, Manjari Fadnis was last seen in Pune Highway, which was released in 2025.
