Met Gala 2025: Diljit Dosanjh Makes Grand Debut Looking Like A Prince; Aptly Deserves Title Sher-E-Punjab

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has made his grand debut at Met Gala 2025 and looked nothing less than a Prince. The global icon – who is also a Punjabi film and Bollywood actor as well as a Punjabi-Hindi singer, made sure all eyes were on him as he made his debut at the 2025 Met Gala dressed to nines like a King.

Dosanjh strutted the iconic stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in Manhattan in a white creation that not only fit this year’s theme – Tailored for You, but also paid homage to his Punjabi roots. Detailed pictures and videos below.

Diljit Dosanjh Debuts At Met Gala 2025

Honouring his Punjabi heritage, Diljit Dosanjh opted for a white turban and white ensemble crated by celebrated Indian designer Prabal Gurung for his Met Gala debut. The proud Jat Sikh – who never missed a chance to proudly showoff his roots – made sure to incorporate his culture by having his long white cape inscribed with Punjabi alphabets aka in the Punjabi Gurmukhi script .

Diljit exuded Maharaja vibes in his pearly white ethereal ensemble paired with unmissable jewels. Diljit accessorised his look with multiple neck pieces including a multi layer diamond set and a chocker. He also carried along a sword, complementing his royal look with perfection.

About This Year’s Gala

The theme for this year’s gala – Tailored for You, coincides with the The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s 2025 exhibition – Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. This exhibit will highlight the rich history and cultural significance of Black Dandyism – with a focus on tailoring and the contributions of Black designers.

The 2025 Met Gala will see several Indian celebrities in attendance including actress and mother-to-be Kiara Advani, the King of Romance Shah Rukh Khan and global singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The biggest fashion night of the year will also see Met regulars Isha Ambani and Natasha Poonawalla in attendance alongside Indian designers like Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi and more.
