Now as per reports, sources have clarified that Deepika Padukone will not be attending the Met Gala this year. According to the source, “Her priority has always been and continues to be films. With King slated to release at the end of this year and Raaka scheduled to release next year, her priority at the moment is to complete the shoot for these two films.”

While fans may miss her red carpet presence, Deepika’s packed schedule reflects her current focus. She is balancing major projects, including King and Raaka. Reports earlier revealed that she plays a significant role in Raaka and has already wrapped key portions, including a grand entry and a major action sequence alongside Allu Arjun. Meanwhile, leaked glimpses from King have only heightened anticipation.

Interestingly, Deepika Padukone isn’t the only global Indian star skipping the Met Gala this year. Earlier today, it was revealed that Priyanka Chopra will also not attend due to work commitments. On the other hand, designer Manish Malhotra confirmed that filmmaker Karan Johar will make his Met Gala debut in 2026. Regular attendees like Isha Ambani and Natasha Poonawalla are also expected to return to the iconic red carpet.
