Actor Anupam Kher also remembered Mukul Dev fondly. Returning from London on Saturday night, Anupam shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) at 2 am on Sunday, describing Mukul as a lively and positive person. He said, “Mera dost Mukul Dev nahi hai, it’s unbelievable. It’s so sad… Bohut zinda dil insaan hai, tha. Kaise insaan ‘tha’ hojata hai, samajh hi nahi aata.”

Mukul Dev’s brother Rahul Dev issued a statement confirming his passing: “Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully at New Delhi last night… He’s survived by his daughter Sia Dev. Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev, and nephew Sidhant Dev. Cremation will be at 5 PM at Dayanand Mukti Dham, Nizamuddin West, Delhi.”

Mukul Dev began his acting career with the television serial Mumkin in 1996, playing Vijay Pandey. He also appeared in Doordarshan’s Ek Se Badh Kar Ek and hosted Fear Factor India Season 1. His film debut was in Dastak, where he played ACP Rohit Malhotra, alongside Sushmita Sen’s debut. Mukul was featured in several hit films, including Jai Ho and Son of Sardaar, leaving a lasting impact on Indian cinema.
