Naagzilla: Kartik Aaryan Begins Shooting Fantasy Comedy On Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s First Anniversary; Shares Pic From Set

Kartik Aaryan has officially started filming his upcoming movie, Naagzilla. The film is slated to hit the screens on August 14, 2026. The film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, directed by Mrighdeep Lamba, and written by Gautam Mehra.

Kartik Aaryan Begins Filming For Naagzilla

On Saturday, he shared a photo on Instagram, showcasing his bright smile while holding a clapboard bearing the film’s name and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s name. The clapboard also featured a haldi teeka, indicating a puja was performed before filming began.

In his caption, Kartik noted that he was starting Naagzilla on the same day he celebrated one year of his hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, writing, “1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev.”

About Naagzilla

Kartik Aaryan will portray Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag. The first look was released in April, with Karan Johar sharing a motion poster and teasing the film’s release on August 14, 2026, during Naag Panchami. The film promises to blend fantasy, folklore, and entertainment, though plot details remain under wraps.

Produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain, Naagzilla has franchise potential based on its performance. Rumours suggest Ravi Kishan has joined the cast, though official confirmation is awaited. This marks Kartik Aaryan’s second collaboration with Karan Johar, following Tu Meri Main Tera. The movie is set to release in theatres on August 14, 2026.
