Nag Ashwin opens up on casting Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in his next

Director Nag Ashwin has got superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone on board his upcoming, big-budget, sci-fi film with South superstar Prabhas in the lead. The hugely anticipated movie is currently in pre-production stage and the director said that the cast is nothing less than a dream combination for him. The film is slated to release next year.

The multi-lingual film is backed by the South Indian production house Vyjayanthi Movies, popular for projects such as Mahanati, Agni Parvatam and Indra. This will be the first time Prabhas will be acting with Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika. We have seen Deepika and Big B in Shoojit Sircar’s successful film Piku and Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan.

On 26th February, Nag Ashwin was supposed to come up with a crucial update on his Prabhas and Deepika starrer but he decided to postpone the same. Fans were eagerly waiting for the recent update. For this, Nag Ashwin took to his Twitter and apologized to the fans by posting, “Very sorry but there won’t be an update on the 26th. Pls excuse me, it’s not the correct time.”

Speaking about his film’s cast, Nag told Bollywood Hungama, “It is definitely a dream combination. I like the cast but it is about the story. At the end of the day, these three people doing these three roles in the movie is exciting for me than just the actors. My movie will shatter all records of imagination.”

Rumoured to be a sci-fi flick, the makers of Prabhas starrer are also planning to rope in many popular celebrities across the industry.
Nag’s latest work is anthology Pitta Kathalu, which means short stories in Telugu. In the anthology, Nag has directed Shruti Haasan in xLife. It releases on Netflix on February 19.
