Now, as per reports circulating on X (formerly Twitter) via The Climax India, producer Namit Malhotra shared a key update during his appearance at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas. He reportedly stated that he plans to move forward with Brahmastra 2 after completing work on his ambitious project Ramayana. However, it is important to note that there is still no official confirmation from the makers regarding timelines or production schedules.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor had earlier hinted that the sequel is very much in development. Speaking about the project, he said that Ayan Mukerji has been nurturing Brahmastra 2 as a long-term dream. He added that once Ayan wraps up his current commitments, including War 2, the filmmaker will begin pre-production on the sequel. Ranbir also mentioned that more concrete announcements are expected soon.

Interestingly, speculation around the film had already gained momentum in October 2025. At the time, Ayan Mukerji shared pictures from a mountain getaway. Fans quickly noticed what appeared to be a script in his hand, leading many to believe that work on Brahmastra 2 had begun. Although he did not confirm it directly, his use of hashtags related to Part 2 and “Om” kept the buzz alive.

For now, Brahmastra 2 remains in development, with multiple moving pieces still aligning. While the intent to continue the Astraverse is clear, fans will have to wait a little longer for an official announcement that sets the next chapter in motion.
