The nation woke up yesterday to the unfortunate news of Irrfan Khan‘s sudden demise. His acting chops were widely applauded and the entire world is mourning his death as they lost a legendary actor. Bollywood celebrities have been mourning the loss on social media, and now Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui also remembered Irrfan Khan in his post.  It is also said that there was a cold war between the actors since the time on ‘Lunchbox’, but looks like Nawazuddin Siddiqui buried the hatchet.

Nawazuddin and Irrfan have always been considered as competitions. It is also said that there was a cold war between the actors since the time ‘Lunchbox’. The two were always reported to ignore each other. Nawazuddin has now buried the hatchet with his co-star and wrote a heartfelt post on his social media mourning Irrfan Khan’s demise. He wrote, “In the year 2000 a film directed by #IrrfanKhan named ALVIDA starred me and I was lucky to have my mentor as my co-star in many films. No one will ever be able to fill his space in the entire world of cinema. Never thot in the worst of my dreams, that will have to say “ALVIDA” so soon #RiP(sic)”

On Tuesday, the actor had been admitted in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital with a colon infection. He passed away on Wednesday. The actor has been ailing ever since he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour two years back.

Irrfan was last seen in Homi Adajania’s ‘Angrezi Medium’.

Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan will be immensely missed. May their souls rest in peace.
