Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya have been in the news since their divorce was announced. Now, Aaliya has recorded her statement at the Budhana police station in her complaint against her husband and his family. She came from Mumbai to Budhana to record her statement.

According to a report by PTI,  SHO Kushalpal Singh said that Aaliya recorded her statement, corroborating all that she said in her complaint. Aaliya had filed a complaint at a Mumbai Police station on July 27. Singh said that the complaint was further filed as an FIR and transferred to the Budhana police station as the place of occurrence of the offence fell in the jurisdiction of this police station.

The SHO further said that one of her allegations were also of molestation of a family member in 2012 by Nawazuddin’s brother Minhajuddin Siddiqui. Aaliya also said that she told her in-laws about the incident but she was told to keep quiet and solve the matter in the family only.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin had returned to his native place at Budhana due to the Covid-19 lockdown and he has been living there ever since. But, his family sources said that Siddiqui was not present at home when Aaliya came to record her statement.
