No role is small for an actor and who can understand this fact better than Nawazuddin Siddique. Before getting recognition as an actor, Nawaz began his career with small roles in various films like ‘Sarfarosh’, ‘Shool’, ‘Jungle’, ‘The Bypass’, ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’ among others. Recently, Rajkumar Hirani made a statement on the stardom of Nawazuddin.

Earlier at an event, Rajkumar Hirani who worked with Nawaz in ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’ said,  “He acted really well and I told him that ‘Nawaz, you are a very good actor’. But in my head, I never thought that Nawazuddin Siddiqui would become such a huge actor that he is today.” 

Now as per a report of IANS, the ‘Manto’ actor has responded to the statement by Raju Hirani. On this, he said, “I read the statement which he made about me in the newspaper. I did a very small role in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ which was directed by Rajkumar Hirani. He used to be a shy person when I worked with him.”

“I also feel surprised how he became such a renowned director. I never expected that he would become such a great filmmaker not only India, but all over the world,” added Nawaz.

After struggling a lot in the Bollywood industry, Nawazuddin Siddique has come a long way to become a huge star. He gave commercial hits like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Kick’, ‘Munna Michael’, ‘Mom’ among others. Rajkumar Hirani made his debut as a director with ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, which was a super hit and then he went on to make its sequel ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ that was also commercially hit at the box office. ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’ and ‘Sanju’ were also his blockbusters.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s recently released ‘Manto’ got a positive response from the critics as well his fans. He will be next seen Abhijit Panse’s ‘Thackeray’ and Ritesh Batra’s ‘Photograph’.
