Recently, Neetu Chandra opened up about her work and personal life in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama where she revealed some unknown and terrifying stories from her past. Calling her story as “ek successful actress ki failure story”, she shares feeling like she has no position or standing in the Hindi film industry. “Having worked with 13 National award winners and in such big films, today I am nowhere,” she said.

The actress also opened up about a scary time in her life when a businessman tried to take advantage of her situation. “I was told by a big businessman that he will give me 25 lakhs per month and that I have to become his salaried wife,” she revealed.

Neetu insisted that even after being in the industry for so many years, she still feels unwanted here and even recalled having suicidal thoughts cross her mind a few times in the past. “Kya logon ke jaane ke baad hi unke kaam ko saraha jaata hai? (Do we admire the work of someone only after they have gone?)”.

Today, the actress is struggling to find work in Hindi or any other Indian film industry but on the brighter side, she had her Hollywood debut last year with Never Back Down: Revolt, that featured Olivia Popica and Michael Bisping in the lead. As for now, she is really looking to get offered some good work and get the respect that she deserves within the industry.
