Nirmal Kapoor Death: Arbaaz Khan, Anupam Kher, Ayan, Rani Mukerji And Several Other Stars Attend Anil Kapoor’s Mother’s Funeral- Watch

Anil, Sanjay, and Boney Kapoor’s mother, Nirmal Kapoor’s funeral took place on Saturday at the Vile Parle Crematorium, Pawan Hans, in Mumbai. She was the wife of the late film producer Surinder Kapoor and the matriarch of the renowned Kapoor family. The funeral arrangements were shared by the Kapoor family, who also expressed their grief in a heartfelt statement.

Several celebrities paid their respects and arrived at Boney Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai to honour her memory. Prominent figures such as Anupam Kher, Arbaaz Khan, cousins Rani and Ayan Mukerji. Family members Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Jahaan Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor were seen paying tribute.

Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Reena Kapoor Marwah and Arjun Kapoor arrived on Friday evening with her mortal remains. Other notable visitors included Shikhar Pahariya, Ananya Panday, Javed Akhtar, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, and Veer Pahariya alongside family members.

Kapoor Family’s Official Statement

The statement read that Nirmal passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at the age of 90, at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Surrounded by her loved ones, she lived a full and joyful life, leaving behind her four children — Boney, Anil, Sanjay, and Reena Kapoor Marwah — along with their respective families, including eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her generous spirit and boundless love touched many, and she will forever remain in their hearts.
