Mamta Kulkarni non bailable warrant

Mamta Kulkarni, known for her films like ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘China Gate’, ‘Baazi’, etc. is back in news for a wrong reason. A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Mamta and her partner drug-lord Vicky Goswami, in an ephedrine haul case.

The investigators have claimed that they have found evidence against the two, and on that basis they want to file a charge-sheet. However, both Mamta and Vicky have absconded ever since their names cropped up in the drug bust, a senior police officer told TOI.

Special public prosecutor Shishir Hiray, has informed the court that they have plenty of evidence against the both of them and their connection in the drug racket. The prosecutor has also stated that that Mamta and Vicky are the main accused in the case. It is said that the two who had set up a well-oiled drug cartel, right from acquiring raw material of ephedrine from the country and also planning transportation and manufacture of methamphetamine in Kenya. When Thane police raided Avon Lifesciences in Solapur, they seized around 18.5 tonne of ephedrine worth Rs 2000 crore. According to the police officials, ephedrine was being diverted from Avon Lifesciences to a Kenya-based drug cartel, and it was Vicky who headed the whole plan.
