Nora Fatehi APOLOGISES for her controversial remark on feminism, says, “That was not the intention at all”

In a recent interview with Mashable India, actress Nora Fatehi addressed the backlash she received for her previous comments on feminism. In an earlier interview with BeerBiceps, Fatehi had commented her perspective on modern day feminism. Her comment did not sit well with Netizens leading the actress getting trolled mercilessly.

In the past interview the Street Dancer actress said, “I don’t believe in the idea of ‘I don’t need anybody.’ In fact, I think feminism f*** up our society.” She clarified that while she believes in women being independent, she also values traditional family structures and mutual dependence within relationships. “I think women are nurturers, yes, they should go to work and have their own life and be independent, but to a certain extent,” Fatehi elaborated. She expressed that radical feminism, in her view, can be harmful to society.

Nora Fatehi apologises for her comment on feminism that offended many

Acknowledging the controversy, Fatehi apologised for any offense her words may have caused. She noted, “I definitely apologise for making people upset and hurting them, but that was not the intention at all.” She emphasised that her comments were based on personal experiences and were not meant to undermine women’s rights or achievements.

In the new interview, Fatehi explained that her remarks were misinterpreted, and she wanted to clarify her stance. She spoke about the difference in cultural values between the West and other regions, stressing the importance of preserving traditions, values, and morals. Fatehi argued that the Western notion of complete self-reliance, often celebrated in feminist discourse, might not align with the cultural norms of other societies. She advocated for the importance of nuclear families and cooperative parenting, which she believes are crucial for raising responsible future citizens.
