Not Satya sequel but Manoj Bajpayee to reunite with Ram Gopal Varma for his next; says, “It’s not a gangster film”

Actor Manoj Bajpayee has been one of the most remarkable and versatile actors in the industry. He has now collaborated with his mentor, Ram Gopal Varma, after seven years. Their previous film together was Sarkar 3 in the year 2017.

The actor-director duo promises fans to deliver a new cinematic venture. Netizens speculate that the film is a sequel to their iconic films like Satya or Shool However, in an interview with Mid-Day, Manoj stated that their upcoming project is neither a gangster drama nor linked to their past works. He revealed, “I am doing Ramu’s next project. As soon as the script is ready and a window opens in my schedule, we’ll do it. It’s not a gangster film, but it will be a vintage Ram Gopal Varma film.”

Not many details about the project have been shared by the actor or the director. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the two reunite and bring their vintage story on-screen.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Manoj will be next seen in Despatch alongside Shahana Goswami in lead roles. The crime film is directed by Kanu Behl and backed by RSVP Movies. It is set to premiere on December 13, 2024, on ZEE5.
