The Mumbai Police are continuing their investigation into a massive drugs case linked to a mephedrone manufacturing racket, and the probe has now reached well-known social media figure Orry. According to ANI, Orry real name Orhan Awatramani has been summoned for questioning. He has been asked to appear before the Anti-Narcotics Cell’s Ghatkopar unit at 10 am on Thursday.
Orry Summoned In Mumbai
The case goes back to March 2024, when the police uncovered a large mephedrone production setup at a farm in Sangli district. Officers seized 126.14 kg of the drug, also known as MD, worth around Rs 252 crore. During the investigation, the police arrested Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai last month. After his arrest, Shaikh told the police that he organised rave parties across India and abroad, which were attended by several celebrities.
According to the Mumbai Police, Shaikh arranged parties in both Mumbai and Dubai where well-known personalities, influencers and even some politicians were present. Shaikh is believed to be closely connected to fugitive drug trafficker Salim Dola, a key member of the Dawood Ibrahim gang.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell stated that these lavish parties were allegedly attended by Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister Haseena Parkar’s son Alishah, as well as Bollywood actors Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor, along with her brother Siddharth Kapoor.
In their remand application submitted to a Mumbai court, the police also mentioned other names who were reportedly present at these events. These include film producers Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, influencer Orry, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. As the investigation progresses, the police are expected to question more individuals to understand the full scale of the network and the events linked to the drug racket.
