Pankaj Kapur Opens Up About His On-Screen Chemistry With Co-Star Dimple Kapadia

During a recent conversation, Kapur addressed the appreciation their pairing has been receiving. He also explained that on-screen chemistry is not something actors consciously try to manufacture. According to him, it naturally emerges when performers stay truthful to their characters and the story.

Reflecting on working with Kapadia, Kapur shared that the collaboration felt effortless. He said, “It was wonderful working with Dimple. I think she is a thorough professional actor and very easy to work with. Not a difficult person at all. She was very disciplined, things that I naturally like in my co-actors.”

The veteran actor further explained that what audiences often describe as chemistry is actually the result of two actors being honest to the material they are given. He added, “You are not working to create chemistry. He emphasised that authenticity in performances is what translates into believable relationships. Additionally, he said, “You are working to be real in the person that has been given to you to live.”

With its seasoned cast, Jab Khuli Kitaab promises a heartfelt take on relationships, driven by honest and emotionally grounded performances.

Jab Khuli Kitaab is currently streaming on ZEE5. It is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Saurabh Shukla.
