Rashmika Mandanna Warns Legal Action Against Sustained Hate Campaign
Not long ago, Telugu stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda tied the knot, sharing adorable pictures on Instagram that melted fans’ hearts. However, the Geetha Govindam actress has once again made headlines after warning of legal action against constant hate and harassment online.
Rashmika alleged that certain sections of the media and some individuals have been spreading misinformation about her. The actress did not directly reveal the reason behind her strong reaction. However, her statement appears to reference an old audio clip that has recently gone viral. The audio reportedly features her mother, Suman Mandanna, speaking about Rashmika’s former fiancé, Rakshit Shetty.
The Geetha Govindam actress wrote, “For eight years, while the attacks were restricted to me, I chose silence. Today, while others are being drawn into this, I cannot stay silent any longer. I choose to draw a boundary.”
Rashmika Mandanna Issues 24-Hour Ultimatum To Stop Circulating ‘False Narrative’
She urged all media platforms, influencers, and individuals spreading the false narrative to remove the content immediately. She warned, “You have 24 hours from the time of this statement to do so. Failing this, starting tomorrow, appropriate legal action will be initiated, including the issuance of legal notices to individuals, influencers, digital platforms, or media organisations involved in the continued circulation of defamatory or privacy-violating content, in accordance with applicable law.”
Mandanna also mentioned her fans in the post, thanking them for their immense support. She said, “Many people have supported me with love all these years. I thank them from the bottom of my heart.”
Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty first crossed paths while working on the 2016 Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party. Their on-screen pairing soon blossomed into a real-life relationship, leading to their engagement in 2017. However, the couple called off their engagement in 2018, stating at the time that the decision was mutual.
