Paresh Rawal tests COVID positive days after taking the first jab of vaccination

Actor Paresh Rawal has tested positive for COVID-19. The veteran actor took to his social media platforms on Friday to share his health update and requested everyone who got in touch with him in the last few days to get themselves tested. The Oh My God actor shared on Twitter, “Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. All those that have come in contact with me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested.”

The 65-year-old actor got the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine earlier this month. He had then shared a photo of himself on social media as he wrote in the caption, “V for vaccines. ! Thanks to All the Doctors and Nurses and the front line Health care workers and The Scientists.” His wife, actor and life skills teacher Swaroop Rawal also had received the first jab of the vaccine.  “Follow the leader… I got my #COVID19Vaccine did you?” the 62-year-old actor had tweeted on March 6.

Many of his friends from the film fraternity including Anupam Kher, Ashoke Pandit among many others sent him their best wishes ok social media.

On the work front, Paresh Rawal was last seen in Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan’s Coolie No 1. He will soon be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Toofaan and Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2 alongside Shilpa Shetty and Meezaan Jaaferi.
The impact of rising covid cases is being felt in the film industry too.

Over the last few days, many celebrities including Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Rohit Saraf, Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan have tested positive. Last year, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, and some others were infected with the virus. It all started in March 2020 when Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who rose to fame with her song Baby Doll, became the first Bollywood celebrity to get infected with COVID-19.
