According to the latest reports, Jr NTR is set to re-enter the spy universe with this highly anticipated film. Previously, he appeared as Vikram in War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan. In War 2, Jr NTR’s character Vikram joined forces with Hrithik’s Kabir to protect India from threats, establishing himself as an integral part of the universe. Now, sources suggest that YRF chief Aditya Chopra is planning to develop Jr NTR’s character further in Pathaan 2.

As per Sacnilk, discussions are underway about integrating Vikram into Pathaan 2, which is considered one of the biggest films in the Spy Universe. Rumours indicate that Jr NTR’s role will extend beyond a brief appearance—either as a parallel lead or as a formidable antagonist in the Shah Rukh Khan-led film.

The sequel is envisioned as a pivotal chapter in the Spy Universe, gradually building towards a massive, Endgame-style showdown. While the production team is keeping key details under wraps, the overall scope of the film is said to be much larger and more ambitious than its predecessor. Pathaan 2 is expected to begin filming in early 2026, with a grand theatrical release planned for 2027.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s next project is King. It will be directed by Siddharth Anand, who also helmed Pathaan. Featuring Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan, King is scheduled for release in 2026.
