Bhojpuri singer-actor Pawan Singh’s wife Jyoti Singh has raised serious allegations against him, questioning whether he truly wanted a child with her. The controversy erupted when Jyoti visited Pawan’s residence and broke down, leading to public accusations.

In a press conference cited by India Today, Jyoti claimed that Pawan Singh had given her abortion pills and subjected her to torture. She questioned his claims of yearning for a child.“Someone who truly desires a child wouldn’t give his wife medication. I was given medication multiple times, and I hadn’t spoken about this publicly before, but Pawan forced me to today. I’m not trying to defame him; I’m simply sharing my side. When Pawan was administering the medication and I spoke out against him, he tortured me so severely that I took 25 sleeping pills at 2 am,” she revealed.

Jyoti further added that her brother Ranu and team member Deepak were present during this time and took her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, where she received treatment. She reiterated, “He used to give me abortion pills.”

Pawan Singh REACTS To These Allegations

In response to the controversy, Pawan Singh, who has recently been reinstated as a BJP member, addressed the media. As quoted by ANI, he said, “Our court case has been ongoing for the last 3-4 years… Why did Jyoti show affection only today? What kind of affection is this? It looks like politics—that she wants to trouble me.” He accused his wife of showing affection now only to create trouble, suggesting her actions are politically motivated.

Pawan also stated on social media, defending himself and questioning Jyoti’s motives. He clarified that police presence at his residence was to maintain law and order, not because he summoned them. He alleged that a misconception was spread, suggesting he had called the police himself. Pawan further accused Jyoti of fabricating a public dispute for her own ambitions and emphasised that family conflicts should be kept private.

The couple’s divorce proceedings have been ongoing in court for the past 3-4 years, with Pawan asserting that Jyoti’s recent display of affection is merely a tactic to gain attention.
