Heard this? Payal Rohatgi arrested for making an objectionable video on Motilal Nehru
Payal Rohatgi always manages to grab the headlines but for all wrong reasons. The former ‘Bigg Boss‘ contestant was arrested by the Rajasthan police on Sunday for allegedly making an objectionable video on Motilal Nehru.
Surprisingly, Payal took to Twitter to say that there’s no ‘Freedom of Speech’ in this country. The actress also claimed that she had made the video after taking information from Google. She even tagged the official handles of Prime Minister’s Office and Home Minister’s Office in her post.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Payal wrote, “I am arrested by @PoliceRajasthan for making a video on #MotilalNehru which I made from taking information from @google Freedom of Speech is a joke@PMOIndia@HMOIndia”

Apparently, the actress had shared an objectionable video on the former Prime Minister of India, Motilal Nehru and his family. The video was posted by the actress on her social media handles. In October, an FIR was filed against Rohatgi for insulting the leaders in her video. Reportedly the case was filed against the actress by Youth Congress leader Charmesh Sharma in Boondi, Rajasthan.
Following this, Payal had posted a video on YouTube apologizing Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi.
Confirming the news of her detention, Bundi Superintendent of Police Mamta Gupta told The Indian Express, “She (Rohatgi) has been detained in Ahmedabad and will be brought to Bundi by Monday morning. The case pertains to objectionable comments by her against Motilal Nehru. A complaint was filed in this regard in Bundi in October.”
The ‘Dhol’ actress has been booked under sections 66 and 67 of the IT Act. For more updates on this story, keep watching this space.
