John Abraham talks about his first Marathi production

Running busy these days with the promotions of his action thriller ‘Force 2’, actor John Abraham has also backed some projects as a producer. After producing films in Bollywood like ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Madras Cafe’ and ‘Force 2’ being the latest one, producer John is ready to venture in regional films with his first production being in Marathi.

Recently, the actor-producer had made his way to the trailer launch of a Marathi film ‘Fugay’ where John spoke about the details of his Marathi film saying that it may go on floors next year. While talking to the reporters at the event, John said, “I am very lucky to be working with Swapna in future as a producer and may be as an actor too.”

‘Fugay’ is directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi who will also be helming John’s production film.

“I am doing my first production with Swapna and we are hopefully starting in March. It’s a fantastic script. I am really excited and looking forward to working with her,” added the ‘Welcome Back’ actor.

Further, talking about knowing and speaking Marathi, John added saying, “I know how to speak in Marathi, though my grammar is not good, but I am proud of being a Marathi ‘mulga’ (boy) as I am born and brought up in Mumbai. I am a hardcore Mumbaikar. My best friend lives here. I studied in Bombay Scottish School and I love this place.”

Coming to venturing in Marathi cinema, John Abraham has certainly entered the list of Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade who have earlier produced films in this language.
