Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the entire nation is currently under lockdown. To curb the spread of the deadly virus and keep everyone safe, shoots of movies, serials and other production-related works were also stalled by the production houses. India is currently under lockdown 4.0 that is expected to end by May 31. Centre and state governments have allowed a few relaxations depending on the zones like green, orange and red. Many industries especially the manufacturing companies have resumed operations following the safety measures.

Producers Guild of India wants to continue to function even during the lockdown period while following various Covid-19 protocols like the rest of the industries. The guild came up with a proposal where they have mentioned about creating a new protocol as they resume work. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra has considered the request.

The Guild took to their Twitter handle to thank the CMO for considering their request. The tweet read:Thank you @CMOMaharashtra for considering requests from the Film & TV industry to resume work safely. In the link below are the Guild’s recommended SOPs, to be instituted whenever we are granted permission to resume production activities.” bit.ly/3c71jGF’

Well, we hope the authority will take the decision keeping in mind the safety of the public. Meanwhile, CM Uddhav Thackeray has hinted at extending lockdown beyond May 31 in Maharashtra.
