Deepika Padukone To Have A Body Double In Raaka?

Sources close to the production reveal that Deepika remains a vital element of the script and story, with no modifications to her scenes as reported by Bollywood Hungama. Even as she prepares to welcome her second child with Ranveer Singh, she continues to shoot for her projects.

A source shared, “Deepika has a stellar entry, as well as a big action scene with Allu Arjun. Those scenes will now be performed by a double, but Deepika will continue filming the dramatic moments herself. Her role remains unchanged, with no scenes cut whatsoever. She is a key protagonist of Raaka, and nothing is different because of her pregnancy.”

Directed by Atlee, Raaka is generating strong anticipation, especially for the standout roles of Deepika and Allu Arjun, which are expected to be showcased prominently under his vision. On April 19, Deepika shared the news on Instagram in a simple yet heartfelt post. The photo featured a glimpse of her daughter Dua Singh Padukone, who was holding a pregnancy test.

On February 29, 2024, Deepika and Ranveer surprised fans by announcing their pregnancy with a picture of tiny baby essentials in pink and blue hues. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in September 2024. They later introduced her to the world during Diwali, sharing her name and a glimpse of their family life. The name “Dua” means “prayer”.
