Raees trailer review

After the teaser and the posters, the makers of ‘Raees’ have finally launched the trailer of the film. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is one of the most awaited films of 2017. The moviegoers were eagerly waiting for the trailer, so was the trailer worth the wait? Let’s find out…

The trailer starts with a powerful dialogue with SRK’s voiceover. We are introduced to Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character, and then enter our Raees, Shah Rukh Khan. From the first frame in the trailer, SRK impresses us with his style. After some dialogue delivery, there is Mahira Khan’s entry, followed by romance, action and some more dialogues. While Nawaz leaves a mark in the trailer, Mahira seems to be like Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Dabangg’. We also get a glimpse of Sunny Leone who will be seen in an item number in the film.

Well, the trailer comes with a promise that the film will be a massy entertainer with romance, dance, action, and some whistle-worthy dialogues. But, when it comes to the story of the film, it looks like the film might not offer us anything new. There’s a hero who is doing some illegal work, then there’s a cop behind our hero, and there’s a heroine for our hero to romance. What’s new?

The film will surely work well with the masses thanks to Shah Rukh Khan, good music, and the dialogues, but we wonder if it will have a strong content. Frankly, it all depends on how Rahul Dholakia has handled the film.

‘Raees’ was slated to release on January 26, 2017; but the mention of a new release date in the trailer came as a surprise, especially since the makers of ‘Kaabil’ too recently announced their new release date as January 25.
