Rajniesh Duggall Opens Up About Exploring New Character

The actor said, “I love exploring new characters. I never had a comfort zone. I have banned it for myself. In fact, being in one is the most dangerous thing an actor can do for himself and his career.”

Rajniesh plays Hanif Khan in the movie and shared, “It is a very layered character. He is sweet on the face and a snake otherwise. He lures Saira in and then tames her into being a housewifeand bearing his kids. He is someone who would go to any extent to get his work done, but then he loves his kids.”

But he did require some preparation to pull off this character. He said, “I’m playing a character like this for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. As they say, everyone is a hero in their mind, and so is Hanif. He thinks he’s always doing the right thing.”

“I had to work on the sher-o-shayari part, as he has a very shayarana mijaz (poetic temperament). And of course I. got to know and learn so much about Islam. I did a lot of in-depth study on the story and the character and the religion before I took it on,” he added.

What next? “More things are coming,” Rajniesh ended.
