Yash Shoots For Swayamvar Scene In Ramayana
Yash, who will be seen essaying the role of Ravana, is currently busy shooting in Mumbai. Interestingly, the shoot has reportedly reached a crucial point in the narrative this week. The team is currently filming the grand swayamvar sequence of Sita, one of the major turning points in the epic, including the moment when Ravana tries and fails to lift the Shiva Dhanush.
Mid-Day reported that the makers behind Ramayana have built an extravagant set recreating the grandeur of Mithila’s kingdom. The massive setup features sprawling palace courtyards. It features intricately designed royal balconies and vibrant traditional rangoli-style floor motifs adorned with flowers. All have been crafted to capture the regal essence of the era.
The sequence is said to involve hundreds of junior artistes. This makes the film one of the most visually ambitious schedules so far. At the centre of the shoot is Yash, capturing a pivotal moment from the epic where Ravana attempts, but fails, to lift the legendary Shiva Dhanush. The scene is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
A source told the portal, “The current portion focuses on Ravana arriving at the swayamvar gathering and the dramatic tension surrounding the lifting of the bow. Yash has a commanding entry in the sequence. The crowd energy changes the moment Ravana enters the court. A lot of effort has gone into creating that aura visually.”
