Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj slammed for breaking lockdown rules & not maintaining social distancing

Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati has found love in Miheeka Bajaj. The ‘Baahubali’ actor recently shared a few pictures from a pre-wedding ceremony which everyone mistook for his official engagement ceremony. However, Rana’s father Suresh Babu, later clarified that it was just a ritual as per their customs and not an engagement party.

Actress Samantha Akkineni shared a few unseen pictures from the function wherein the entire family can be seen posing with the couple of the hour-Rana and Miheeka. However, netizens slammed the couple for breaking lockdown rules and not maintaining social distancing.

Rana is Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya’s cousin. And the ‘Makkhi’ actress Samantha is married to Naga. Now congratulating her brother-in-law Rana, Samantha shared a picture from the function and wrote, “Thankyou for bringing us the best news of 2020 ❤️ @ranadaggubati @miheeka … here’s to your happily ever after ?????.. ? @tpt.toast”

In the pic posted by her, Rana and Miheeka, are seen flanked by his brother Abhiram, cousin Arjun and a few members from Miheeka’s family. As soon as Samantha shared this pic, netizens couldn’t help but notice how lockdown rules were violated by the couple’s family for this ceremony.

Slamming the couple, one of the users wrote, “Where is your mask? Where is social distancing?” Whereas another user commented, “I think social distancing is only for poor, still congratulations to both..god bless”

Owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, the entire nation is following lockdown rules in order to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

Earlier, clarifying that this was just a ritual and not an engagement, Rana’s father Suresh had told The New Indian Express, “It’s not engagement. Our families sat together on Wednesday to discuss what all has to be done for the pre and post-wedding functions. It’s a ritual among the Telugus to meet the bride’s parents before fixing the engagement and wedding dates. We are happy to take these alliance talks forward.”
