Ranbir Kapoor on not joining social media: Actors ki mystery hai woh chali jaa rahi hai

Ranbir Kapoor is one of the few actors who is not on social media. Ranbir is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. At a recent promotional event of the film, Ranbir Kapoor got candid as he revealed the reason behind not joining social media.

The actor said, “Mera ye manna hai ki social media pe koi hota hai toh apne aap ko ek entertaining tarah se prastoot karna padta hai aur mere mein woh baat nahi hai. Aur dusri cheez mera humesha se ye manna hai ki aaj kal joh ek actor aur actress ki mystery hai woh kahi na kahi chali jaa rahi hai (What I believe is whoever is on social media, they have to presence themselves in an entertaining way and I don’t have that thing in me. And the second thing is, I have always believed that nowadays the mystery of an actor or an actress is going somewhere)”

Ranbir added, “You know hum itne AO films hai, ad films kar rahe hai, marketing kar rahe hai aur filmein release ho rahi hai toh kahi na kahi audience ko lag raha hai yaar, bohot jaldi bore ho rahe hai ek insaan se ki yaar isko abhi bohot dekh liya, abhi aur kuch naya mazedaar dekhna hai. Toh yehi mera manna hai ki abhi mein thodi bohot mystery rakh sakhu, control kar sakhu toh shayad audience ko lagega iski film arahi hai bohot dino baad, chalo isko dekhne jaate hai (We do ad films, marketing and our films are releasing so somewhere the audience is easily getting bored. They feel we have seen this person too much and now we want to watch something new. So, what I think is if I keep a little mystery then audiences might feel my film is coming after so many days, let’s go and watch it)”

Talking about Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir will be seen sharing screen space with Shraddha Kapoor. Ranbir and Shraddha will be seen onscreen together for the first time. The upcoming film is directed by Luv Ranjan and is slated to release on 8^th March, 2023. Fans are beyond excited for it.

Ranbir on working with Shraddha

At the event, Ranbir was asked about working with co-star Shraddha Kapoor and he called her ‘hard-working and sincere’.

Ranbir, who is currently busy fulfilling his work commitments, also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Apart from that, he is working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic with Anurag Basu.
