The upcoming special episode of Indian Idol 12 is dedicated to the late Rishi Kapoor and the audience will see his wife Neetu Kapoor as a special guest. Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor will also participate via video messages, as they have conveyed their feelings for their mom. We we will get to see the veteran actor’s life journey and his films will be celebrated on the episode. And an exciting part of the show is when her children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor will appear via videos.

In a special promo released by Sony TV on social media, we get a sneak peek at their video messages. The Tamasha actor shares how when they were enrolled in music classes as kids, the teacher was ready to take on his sister as a student but advised that Ranbir should enrol in karate classes because music is just not his thing. “He told my mother that I don’t understand sur aur taal aur mujhse nahi ho paega,”

Ranbir said in the video message. Daughter and designer Riddhima also appears in the promo as she calls her mother the “iron lady” of the family. Neetu and Rishi were an iconic couple in the 1970s. They appeared in films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Kabhi Kabhie, Khel Khel Mein, Rafoo Chakkar among many others. In their later years, they appeared in Do Dooni Chaar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and a few other films.

On Thursday, the family members of Rishi Kapoor held a puja on his 11-month death anniversary which saw Ranbir, Riddhima participating in the ceremony. Earlier this week, Neetu took to Instagram to mark 11 months of Rishi’s death. “Since today is Rishiji’s 11-month prayer meet felt like sharing some moments from our last trip to NYC,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, after testing positive on March 10 Ranbir is out of the deadly virus now. Ranbir has lately been busy shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s action fantasy film “Brahmastra” alongside girlfriend Alia Bhatt. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy. Ranbir’s next release is “Shamshera” on June 25. The Karan Malhotra film is an action drama co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, and is produced by Yash Raj Films.
