Brahmastra is one of the most-awaited movies. Yesterday, the motion poster of the film was unveiled in Delhi. Ranbir is playing the male protagonist in Brahmastra and his first look of as Shiva was unveiled in the motion poster. The movie is finally releasing on September 9, 2022 after much wait. We hope the makers stick to its release date as it has been postponed several times. At the event, Ranbir remembered his father, late Rishi Kapoor and got emotional.

Ranbir said he missed his dad on the special occasion. He then added that Rishi Kapoor would fight with him and Brahmastra’s director Ayan Mukerji over the film. He used to ask them lots of questions.

Ranbir said, “I miss my father terribly today. I remember during the making of this film, during these last how many ever years, he kept fighting with Ayan and me and kept questioning us, ‘What are you doing?’ ‘Who takes so long to make a film?’ ‘Who spends so much money? Ranbir you’re not making one penny on this film. VFX film kaun dekhega, India mein koi VFX film nahi dekhta’.”

He further said, “But I believe he’s here somewhere. I hope he’s proud, I hope he’s smiling. And just to pay a small tribute to him, if you guys know it, please join me”. He then said the iconic lines from Rishi’s film Karz. “Kya tumne kabhi kisi se pyaar kiya, kabhi kisi ko dil diya, maine bhi diya” blowing a kiss at the sky.

Had Rishi been alive, he would have been happy to see that finally Brahmastra is releasing.

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020.
