Almost whole of Bollywood is on social media these days, but actor Ranbir Kapoor has chosen to keep a low profile. And clearly, the actor does not want to reveal any more of his personal life on social media as much as is anyways there. He was last seen in Shamshera, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie titled Brahmastra. The Ayan Mukerji directorial is touted to be one of the biggest Bollywood films of the year and it features Ranbir in a key role.

Coming back to Ranbir Kapoor and his social media debut, over the years, there have been speculations that the actor is to create an account. While there are rumours that the Brahmastra actor has a secret account on Instagram already, Kapoor has maintained he does not want to be on social media.

Amidst all that, during an episode of Koffee with Karan 7, Karan Johar spilled the beans on Ranbir’s social media debut. During an interaction with his guests Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, Karan revealed that Ranbir is likely to make his social media debut, ahead of the release of Brahmastra. During the episode, Karan played a rapid fire segment with Sonam Kapoor. He asked to reveal one person who has the best thirtsy’s on Instagram. Reacting to the same, Arjun Kapoor added, “Don’t say Ranbir, because he is not on social media.” “He will, eventually might come. When he is promoting Brahmastra,” Karan told Sonam, reacting to Arjun’s statement about Ranbir not being on social media.

Meanwhile, so far, Alia has often shared posts related to movies of Ranbir and promoted his films at large. She was the one who even made an announcement about her pregnancy, and even shared photos of Kapoor and her from their wedding day.

Talking about Brahmastra, the film is set to release in theatres on September 9. The movie features Ranbir, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Dharma Productions.
