In 2017, Rishi Kapoor launched his memoir titled ‘Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored’. The title was suggested by the actor himself as according to him his life was like an open book. In his book, he revealed many things khullam khulla.

The foreword in the book was written by his son Ranbir Kapoor. In the forward, Ranbir wrote, “As I sit down to analyse my relationship with my father, I would say that the most precious gift he has given my sister Riddhima and me is that we can love our mother unconditionally. He showed us by example that she was at the centre of all our lives and our home. With her as our bedrock, none of the ups and downs in our lives could really touch us.”

“The second gift is that he has been a good husband to my mother,” Ranbir wrote in the foreword of his dad’s memoir.

Rishi Kapoor was not an easy person with whom someone could stay. In many of his interviews, he himself had admitted that. Even, his wife Neetu Singh had said that Rishi was short-tempered at times but she stood by him in all these years. Even in these last two years, she took all the responsibilities and stood like a rock by her ailing husband.

The veteran actor passed away on April 30 after battling with leukemia for two years. His death created a void in the industry as well as in the entire Kapoor family.
