Maddock Films has established a horror-comedy universe, producing hits like Stree and Bhediya, which have been major box office successes. According to recent rumours, the studio is planning to cast two new stars—superstar Ranveer Singh and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar—in its next instalment. If these reports are accurate, the duo may lead a fresh chapter in the expanding horror-comedy franchise.

Ranveer Singh To Star In Maddock’s Next

Mid-day quoted sources saying, “Ranveer has been in discussions with Dinesh for some time. He visited the Maddock office last week. The creators wanted a new energy to drive the next phase, and Ranveer is eager to explore this genre. The paperwork is expected to be finalised soon.”

Another source added, “The plan is to eventually create an Avengers-style culmination. They are coordinating schedules, as Ranveer will soon finish Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar. He has also allocated dates for Don 3. The project is likely to start in early 2026.” An official announcement, however, is still awaited.

In addition, the actor is preparing for a birthday surprise, with reports indicating that the first look teaser of his upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, is scheduled to release on July 6, 2025—coinciding with Ranveer’s birthday. It is also being rumoured that he will sport an intense, angry young man look. An official confirmation is still awaited. This comeback isn’t just about nostalgia; it reflects the audience’s desire for intense, high-energy characters that resonate with today’s societal unrest.

Dhurandhar features an ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Yami Gautam, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Meanwhile, Ranveer also has Don 3 in his pipeline, though filming has yet to commence. Recently, he was spotted outside Maddock’s office, sparking buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.
