Release date of Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut ‘xXx’ has been preponed

Actress Deepika Padukone‘s Hollywood debut vehicle ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ which was slated for release on January 20, 2017 has now been preponed to January 14, 2017.

Deepika confirmed the same by sharing a tweet which reads as:

thrilled to announce that #XxX:TheReturnofXanderCage will release in India first!before anywhere else in the world! #14thJanuary #VinDiesel pic.twitter.com/8y36pMYQBF

Now, that’s an amazing news as the movie will first be releasing in India. Dippy’s fans are going to have a gala time seeing their idol sizzle in a Hollywood movie for the very first time. January 14 is a Saturday and just a day before on Jan 13, we have Aditya Roy Kapur and Shradha Kapoor starrer ‘OK Jaanu’ and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Haraamkhor’ up for release. Although, there cannot be a clash between a Hollywood and a Bollywood movie considering that both of them have their different target audiences, but Deepika’s presence and star power could attract more crowds.

Also, it was a smart move by the makers as on January 25, there are two big banner movies ‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’ releasing, so by preponing the movie, the makers have surely taken a smart step.

‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ also stars Hollywood hottie Vin Diesel in the lead role.
