Director Rohit Shetty is riding high on the success of his film Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. His action film was released in cinemas on November 1. The film has crossed the Rs 130 crore mark.
Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again becomes the 10th fastest film to cross Rs 100 crore mark
Rohit Shetty took to Instagram and expressed his gratitude while sharing a note to fans for showering their love on Singham Again. In the post, he shared a picture of himself standing before the poster of Singham Again. Sharing the picture, he wrote, “SINGHAM AGAIN my 10th and fastest 100 cr film… For the past 16 films one thing that has remained constant is your love, thank you for all the support and love, humbled.”
In the same post, he also shared the posters of Sooryavanshi, Simmba, Golmaal Again, Dilwale, Singham Returns, Chennai Express, Bol Bachchan, Singham, and Golmaal 3. These films by Shetty have also crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in its theatrical release.
Rohit Shetty’s Singam Again Box Office collection
Singam Again clashed with Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The action film made Rs 17.5 crore on its first Monday, as per Sacnilk.com. It then earned Rs 43.5 crore on its opening day, which was followed by Rs 42.5 crore on Saturday, and Rs 35.75 crore on Sunday. This brings the total earnings to Rs 137.99 crores.
Singham Again follows the story of Bajirao Singham who leaves no stone unturned after his wife Avni Kamat is kidnapped by Danger Lanka. The movie also featured a special cameo by Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey. It is a part of Shetty’s Cop Universe.
