Karan Johar has given many iconic movies to Bollywood like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and many more. He owns one of the most renowned production houses in Bollywood, Dharma Productions. In recent times, apart from his successful journey in Bollywood, Karan is proving to be a lucky mascot for South films as well.

Karan Johar recently hosted the trailer launch of one of the most awaited movies of the year KGF Chapter 2 which starred Yash and Sanjay Dutt. The movie will be released on April 14 this year. There is no doubt that director and producer Karan Johar is turning out to be a lucky mascot of South films as he had presented quite a few hits over the years.

Karan had presented the magnum opus of SS Rajampouli Baahubali in 2015 as well as Baahubali 2 in 2017. It is no secret that both the movies were record-breaking at the box office. Post that, the director had also presented the bilingual film Ghazi Attack which starred Rana Daggubati.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director also hosted another magnum opus of SS Rajampouli titled RRR which starred Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt. We had seen Salman Khan also making an appearance at the event.

Karan has always been an admired of South Films and has often spoken highly of the industry. During the press conference of 2.0, Karan had said, “We had the gumption, glory and guts to make it because we have seen the success. In many ways, the southern film industry has pioneered this movement of meeting narrative and technology for like, decades. They get their stories, emotions, scale and technology bang on.”
