“Sai Pallavi Is The Best Actress In Our Country” Says Aamir Khan; Gets Emotional At Junaid Khan’s Ek Din Event- Watch

As the world waits to see Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi romance each other on the big screen, Ek Din producer Aamir Khan is going all out to promote the Bollywood remake of Thai film One Day. On Sunday, April 26, the makers held a special musical event in Mumbai titled Ek Din Ki Mehfil. Several videos from the event have now made their way online and show Aamir praising Sai and Junaid as well as getting teary watching the performances.

Aamir Khan Gets Emotional At Ek Din Mehfil

In one of the many videos now available on social media, Aamir Khan is seen alongside Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi enjoying the many performances. At one point, Aamir was captured wiping his tears with his T-shirt, overwhelmed by something happening on the makeshift stage.

In another video, Aamir is seen praising Sai Pallavi and saying, “Sai has done such an amazing job, you are going to get blown away. For me, Sai is the best actress we have in our country today.” Sai, in response, can be seen beaming from ear to ear and thanking him for his kind words.

The actor then commented on Junaid Khan’s performance. He joked, “Junaid ne bhi thik thak kiya hai. Woh mera beta hai toh kuch bol nahi sakta (Even Junaid did a good job, but he is my son, so I can’t say much). In fact, all the cast members have done a great job, and I am very happy for them.”

Aamir Khan Sings Ek Din Title Track

Before showering love on Sai and Junaid, Aamir surprised all present by crooning the film’s title track. He was accompanied by singer Meghna Mishra and composer Ram Sampath.

About The Film

Sai Pallavi will be debuting in Bollywood with Ek Din. The upcoming flick, directed by Sunil Pandey, will see Sai romance Junaid Khan in his second theatrical release. The film is backed by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. It is a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day. The romantic drama follows a young man who falls in love with his colleague but lacks the courage to confess his feelings. He wishes to be with her for just one day, and to his astonishment, the wish comes true. The film releases in theatres this Friday, May 1.
