The #MeToo movement has opened a can of worms. Women are opening up on their ordeals of facing sexual harassment and a number of Bollywood celebs are facing the heat for their ghastly acts. The movement is receiving support from many celebrities which is giving the women the courage to share their troubles rather than hide it. Celebs like Nana Patekar, Sajid Khan, Subhash Ghai and many others have been named as sexual harassers. Recently, Saif Ali Khan too opened up on the subject.

Saif Ali Khan says he stands in solidarity with women sharing their stories of sexual harassment as he understands the pain they have been through. He is sensitive towards the safety of women as he has a large family of mother Sharmila Tagore, sisters Soha Ali Khan and Sabah Ali Khan, wife Kareena Kapoor and daughter Sara Ali Khan and he is quite protective of them.

Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan is all set to mark her Bollywood debut. In an interview to TOI, Saif said that, “If someone asks my daughter to come to see him at Madh Island, I will go with her and punch that man in the face. If she tells me that this guy said this to me, he will then be fighting me in court. I am sorry, but that’s my reaction to it. He wouldn’t dare to do it again. Every girl should have that kind of security.

The Sacred Games star, speaking to PTI said that he too faced harassment years ago, even though it was not sexual in nature. “I have also been harassed in my career, not sexually, but I have been harassed 25 years ago and I am still angry about it. Most people don’t understand other people. It is very difficult to understand other people’s pain. I don’t want to talk about it because I am not important today. Even when I think about what happened to me I still get angry. Today, we have to look after women.

Saif said the offenders must be punished even if they are found guilty in an old case. The 48 year old asserted that he will not work with those who have been accused of sexual misconduct.
