Salman Khan outside court

After 13 long years of twists and turns, finally, Salman Khan could breathe a sign of relief in his Hit and Run case, which killed one and injured many. “I accept the decision of the judiciary with humility. I thank my family, friends & fans for their support & prayers” is what this overwhelmed star said after the Bombay High Court acquitted him from all the charges levied against him. But, what about those who suffered major losses in this mishap? What about those victims who are now bed-ridden and are of no help to their families?

After the Bombay High Court’s verdict, Salman Khan is a free bird now but one the victims named Abdulla Sheikh says that he is yet to get justice and compensation in this case. He says that he waited for 13 long years just to get justice, but after the Bombay High Court’s verdict he has lost all hopes in the judiciary. He is now, at least, hoping to set some compensation and allowance from the star to sustain his family. He says, “We have been waiting for justice and compensation for the last 13 years but are yet to receive it. I have small children and am worried about their education and how to bring them up.”

Further, he blames the court for favouring the star and says that if the court had to give a judgement in the favour of Salman Khan then it could have been done long ago. Why did it get stretched for 13 long years? He exclaimed, “The court should also have thought about us…Salman Khan should give us sustenance allowance and compensation.”

Well, it’s surely a time for Salman to celebrate but the fact still remains the same that the accident did occur and people did get injured. Victims are leading a miserable life and there’s no one to pay heed to their sufferings.
