Besides biopics and remakes, there is one more trend that is going on in Bollywood and it’s the trend of sequels. Now, according to latest reports, Salman Khan is all set to star in the sequel on his 2011 film, ‘Ready’. The Anees Bazmee directorial also starred Asin and went on to do good business at the box office.

As per reports in Mumbai Mirror, the makers are in talk with Salman to play the lead role in the sequel too. Talking about it, producer and head honcho of T Series, Bhushan Kumar said, “‘Bharat’, my production with Atul Agnihotri, has just started and now we are in talks with Salman bhai and Anees bhai for ‘Ready 2’. We are just waiting for the script to get ready so that we can take it forward.”

While the director, Anees Bazmee said, “Bhushanji and I have been in talks for a few months now. He had also been interested in making ‘Ready 2’ for quite some time. Things are looking positive after our most recent meeting. I haven’t met Salman bhai to discuss dates and other details yet. Taking the film on the floors will depend on his availability.”

Reportedly, the makers haven’t finalised any actress who will play the lead in the film.

Besides the sequel to ‘Ready’, Salman also has ‘Kick 2’, which a sequel to ‘Kick’ and ‘Dabangg 3’ which is the third installment in the ‘Dabangg’ series. Apart from these sequels, Salman will also be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat‘ which also star Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patni, Tabu and others. Jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar, the film is an official adaptation of the 2014 Korean film, ‘Ode to My Father’ and will release around Eid 2019.
